Learning Spanish

This CD contains what most people who are learning Spanish actually need, that is over 500 useful everyday phrases correctly pronounced. Based on years of experience teaching Spanish to British ex-pats in Spain, Jane Cronin has organised the course into topic areas, giving each word or phrase in

English, followed by its Spanish equivalent, and a short pause for the listener to repeat the phrase. As an extra reference all the phrases are listed in order in the accompanying booklet, which also provides a basic explanation of Spanish pronunciation.
The key to the course is its simplicity. It starts off with the Spanish alphabet and numbers, and then moves straight on to give essential phrases without any complicated exercises or distracting explanations. You can listen to it as many times as you wish and whilst pursuing other activities like driving or working at home. It provides an ideal introduction to the Spanish language, a perfect tool for “get by” situations, as well as a superb supplement to other language courses.
